Eris AI is an invitation-only platform for research teams at biotech organizations. When you use Eris AI, we collect:
- Account data: the email address used to accept your invitation, and your name and organization if provided.
- Usage data: interactions with the platform's modules (Landscape, Deep Exploration, Research Gaps, Emerging Trends, and Research Development) to improve your experience and understand how teams use the Service.
- Uploaded documents: PDFs and text you share with the Service for AI processing.
- Organization information: team size and related details shared during onboarding, used to configure access for your organization.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data exclusively to:
- Provide and maintain the Service for you and your team.
- Process your documents and generate AI-driven results.
- Send account-related communications (invitations, confirmations, security updates).
- Improve the Service based on anonymized, aggregated usage patterns.
- Contact you regarding your early access period, feedback sessions, and future plans, since you are part of our early access program.
3. Document Handling
We understand that your scientific documents may contain sensitive or proprietary research. Accordingly:
- Your documents are sent to our AI processing provider solely to generate the results you request.
- We do not persistently store the full content of your documents on our servers.
- We do not use your documents to train AI models.
- We do not share, sell, or transfer your documents to third parties.
4. Third-Party Services
Eris AI relies on the following third-party services to operate:
- Supabase: for authentication and user data storage. Access to Eris AI is granted exclusively by invitation; there is no public self-registration.
- Anthropic (Claude API): for natural language processing. Text submitted to the API is handled in accordance with Anthropic's privacy policy.
- Vercel: for hosting the Service.
5. Storage and Security
Your account data is stored securely in Supabase with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We implement reasonable security measures, including:
- Encrypted communications via HTTPS.
- Secure authentication using JWT tokens.
- Access restricted through Row Level Security (RLS) policies.
- Invitation-only account creation, with no open public sign-up.
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
As a user, you have the right to:
- Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification: correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure: request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection: object to the processing of your data for communication purposes.

7. Cookies
Eris AI uses only cookies strictly necessary for authentication and session functionality. We do not use tracking or third-party advertising cookies.
8. Business Use and Minors
Eris AI is a business-to-business Service intended for use by research professionals acting on behalf of a biotech organization. Access is granted only to individuals invited by Eris AI following direct contact with their organization. The Service is not directed at, and should not be used by, individuals under 18 years of age.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date of the last update appears at the top of this document. Material changes affecting active early access users will be communicated with reasonable prior notice.
